Christians and the Olympics

The Berlin Olympics in 1936 was the breakthrough event for the German people – under the “outstanding” leadership of great Fuhrer Adolph Hitler, we finally stood up again! And walked out of the shadow of failure from World War I. Germany saw a great country again with a strong military and the whole nation fanatically uniting around the Nazi party. We finally got rid of the suppression from the other countries. Most of the German Christians rejoiced wildly as well, strongly supported their great Fuhrer who led the reviving of the country, and even forgot that the head of Christians should be Jesus Christ. How could it be Hitler? (Ephesians 4: 15-16; Colossians 1:18, 2:19-22; Revelation 1:5, 3:14) May I challenge you, today’s Christians, one question: would you also frantically rejoice if you were a German Christian at that time? Would you be one of those waving flags and shouting loudly to celebrate our great country to host the Olympics? How would you treat those who remind Christians to be alert and stand up to stop the evil power from using the Olympics to deceive the world?

You may answer “Certainly, I won’t be one of them. I won’t be fooled as they were! ” Oh, yeh! Those German people were fooled. And the German Christians were easily fooled, too! However, isn’t it the depiction of today’s world if “German” is replaced with “Chinese”? Isn’t the Beijing Olympics the pride of the Chinese people, the sign that Chinese finally stand up in front of the world? Who dares beat the Chinese people now? Isn’t it true that many Chinese Christians are proud of it as well? How come they cannot find pride in Christ?

With the support of the people, many of whom were Christians, the Nazi Germany successfully used the Olympics to cover their evil nature. They used all possible means, especially some foreigners with various appearances to cover their bribe-loving nature, to show the world a “peaceful and tolerant” new Germany. They took away most of the anti-Jewish signs. The press became very mild. Berlin saw the colorful Olympic signs everywhere, and a joyful atmosphere of festival and celebration. But nobody knew just before the Olympics, over 800 Roma in Berlin were arrested and sent to a concentration camp outside Berlin. However, compared to the numbers of the arrested because of the Beijing Olympics, 800 is too small to be mentioned. But is there anyone caring about it? The Nazis built the most magnificent sports complex in the Olympic history. They invented a ritual for the Olympics: torch relay, setting up example for their followers - and today’s Chinese Communist Party (CCP) obviously would not let that Nazi party down – relaying the torch around the world! The Nazis made everything perfect, even letting Helene Mayer, a partial Jewish, join the German team. Nazis used this ‘fact’ to propagandize and hide that fact that Jewish athletes were persecuted and even slaughtered, denouncing the voice of persecution was sheer rumor and the conspiracy of a handful anti-party opponents, and declaring that any such conspiracy against the Germans would fail because the whole world was full of sunshine and everyone longing for a peaceful world would not believe in such voices to harm the “Olympics of Harmony”.

Through these efforts, the German government won praises worldwide. The New York Times took the leading role to bring glory to the Nazis, saying that the Olympics brought Germany back to the world family, and made the German more “human”. History has demonstrated that New York Times has a tradition of propaganda for the successful terrorists. The way it supported Hitler and the Nazis, it will do the same for Hu Jintao and the CCP because the latter are greater than the former and will give more money. The Berlin Olympics became the most effective chance to sell Germany to the whole world a peaceful and friendly image, which was actually preparing for military expansion. Although Hitler did not look as gracious, mild and educated as Hu Jintao but used to be in a full military outfit when talking about peaceful future before the press, the naïve and kind people around the world still believed this devil, since the whole world was spreading the lie that Hitler just wanted to make the Germany an economically strong country. Many started to daydream a peaceful Germany. Unfortunately, the dream could not last long. Three years later, that “peaceful and friendly” Germany started World War II. By the time of waking up, many of those daydreamers and “peaceful Germany” propagandists found themselves already either dead under the German bombs or victims of the concentration camps.

It is very interesting that Avery Brundage, the president of American Olympic Committee, initially posed to support the boycott against the Berlin Olympics because the reports about the persecution of Jewish athletes in Germany. However, right after his personal trip to Germany to examine the truth, he declared there was no such persecution, and the Olympic Games should be held as scheduled. He was lying with his eyes open! But why did he change his tone after the visit? Now many people have changed their tones, too, after visiting China. Why? Just when the fight of two sides of the boycott reached the critical point, Mr. Brundage contended with his most powerful card: “Politics should not be involved in the Olympics”, alleging the other side was utilizing Olympics for their political agenda. And his avid support for the Games full of political purposes by the hosts had nothing to do with politics!

What a familiar tone! What a similar picture! Just like what is happening today! Nowadays, numerous descendants of the “Dragon”, famous “Christians”, Chinese American politicians and international friends, all rise up to the stage with various outfits and shout that politics has no place in the Olympics because of “one world” and “one dream”. But what is the “dream”? No one has ever answered. They do not know because the CCP who dreams to rule the world has not told them yet. Everything is clearly written in Revelation of the Bible, including why people are so eagerly to follow the party because, regardless great or small, no body can sell or buy without the “mark” of the beast (Revelation Chapters 12, 13, 18 and 20). Please look around to see if it is true. The CCP and their followers shout out: “Shut up you people playing politics with the Olympics!” Wait a minute. Who is playing politics with the Olympics? Who cannot wait to jump out to support the party that has a full political agenda in the Olympics? Who try so hard to please the party so that they can sell themselves a good price? What a shameful picture! The party full of terrorism, dictatorship and corruption is using this once-a-hundred-year chance to rebuild its image to be disguised as a harmonious and democratic “angle of light”. Isn’t this politics? Isn’t it politics to use the superficial prosperity and gorgeous Olympic projects built with people’s blood to cover up the people’s poverty and despair? Because of poverty, billion people cannot afford seeing doctor, million kids drop school, many commit suicide when facing the college tuition, and many sell flesh for their mothers’ medical expenses. Isn’t it politics to use the government-controlled and party-above-God churches to demonstrate religious freedom and to cover up the secret and harsh persecution on the true believers? Isn’t it politics to threaten, imprison or even crackdown with armed forces the people or Christians still possessing conscience in order to have a peaceful Olympics? Isn’t it politics to use the Olympics to stir up narrow patriotism in order to strengthen the party’s power? Isn’t it clear who has full political agenda in the Olympics? Do not deceive yourselves, the followers of the “politics-first” party, that you are not involved in politics. Maybe it is true that your personal agenda is not politics but money!

At the time of the Berlin Olympics, there were many people of conscience standing up against the Nazi. Now all of us have already learned a lesson and become super smart in the earthly matters. Don’t you know that Earnst Lee Jahncke was kicked out of the International Olympics Committee (IOC) because of his advocating to boycott the Berlin Olympics? Don’t you know that his vacancy was filled up by Avery Brundage who shouted “Politics has not place in the Olympic Games” and who even became the president the IOC for 20 years? These lessons make us very “smart”, very indifferent towards others but just interested in ourselves. This is exactly the description of the end of world in the Bible – “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.” (Matthew 24:12) “The whole world is under the control of the evil one.” (1 John 5:19) Now everywhere is the voice of the evil one’s representative and its followers. Although there are occasionally few different voices, they are immediately muffled by the shouts and steel clubs of the party-loving overseas Chinese. There is no exception even in the Christian world. The difference is that instead of the steel clubs, the Bible verses are arbitrarily and erroneously used. Now China is getting stronger every day. The whole world, including the IOC, have been trying to please the CCP, in the fear of losing the largest market and the robbery revenue. Even though many people know the Olympics is just one of the important cards of the evil party, those declaring “separate politics from religion” and “we Christians should stay away from politics” help the party playing this card to its full utility. It is just like what the Bible says “the whole world was astonished and followed the beast. Men worshiped the dragon… He also forced everybody, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark.” Who can overcome such a super power? “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; they didn’t love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” (Revelation 12-13) Brothers and sisters, we can only overcome the evil one by following God’s word. We have to witness through God’s power what we believe. We must witness, not by words but by actions. Even shrink from death, should we not treasure our lives. If we are a lover of money or afraid of death, we will surely not be able to overcome the wicked one but just lie down under his hand.

Compared to today’s Chinese Christians, the German Christians at the time of the Berlin Olympics had more excuses of being fooled. First, they had no lessons to learn in the history. But actually, what is the use of historic lessons? Even though God taught many lessons to the Israelites, they quickly forgot and turned around. Christians usually leave the teachings of the Bible in the church. Second, their Fuhrer was a “Christian”, and of course, they had to follow him. “If I had lived in Germany, I would have done the same. Isn’t it true that the Bible teaches us to obey the authorities? Plus, he who led our country walking from poverty to prosperity and from defeat to success was a Christian.”

As Christians, we are supposed to be the citizens of the heavenly kingdom. However, many of us still submit to the evil power without changing their slavery nature. Many Chinese Christians still take the party, who always lies, as their lord. (Who lied from the beginning and is the father of liars?) Deceived by the wealth, they pursue with all means to succeed in this material world. They dream to rule together with the prince of this world. This is absolutely contradictory to the teaching of the Bible - “You may not drink of the Lord’s cup and a cup of demons. You may not eat the Lord’s Supper and partake in that table of demons.” (1 Corinthians 10:21) “Do not be together with unbelievers. For, what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? What harmony is the air between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?” (2 Corinthians 6:14-15) Obviously, they are “denying the sovereign Lord who bought them – bringing swift destruction on themselves.”

Then, what should a Christian do? In Micah 6:8, “He has showed you, all men, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Jesus also told us to “seek first his kingdom and his righteousness”. (Matthew 6:33) Therefore, as a Christian, what we are seeking are God’s kingdom and God’s righteousness, but not the evil party’s kingdom and its “righteousness”! Christians should put God’s righteousness and mercy in the first place, as the ultimate standard. We should not follow nay course that is against this standard. It is a completely wrong idea that you have to behave as the Dragon’s descendant since you are Chinese. It is not right to support and follow the course that would benefit only China, bring honor to the party or get the recognition from the spirit controlling the party (Ephesians 2:2 and 6:12.) It is not right to dream for a super power China standing on the summit of the world so that we can … At the time of the Berlin Olympics, many German Christians dreamed the same way. And what happened? How dangerous! Therefore, a Christian should compare everything against God’s kingdom and His righteousness. A Christian should always think whether it will benefit others. God wants us to shed our lives for others as what Jesus did. God’s way is to sacrifice ourselves to benefit others. We should rather be bullied than to bully others. “If someone slaps you on the right cheek turn to him your other cheek also.” (Matthew 5:39) As a Christian, we should not limit ourselves within our own race or country, neither consider to benefit just our own race or country. We are the people belonging heavenly kingdom, but strangers to this world. We should declare the praise of Him who called us out of darkness into his wonderful light, but not advocate for the evil party. (1 Peter 2:9-11)

After long-term brainwash, most Chinese cannot tell the differences between people, country, government and party. Most times, what people do only benefits the evil party that has been suppressing them for more than half a century by state terrorism. This Olympics does not bring fortune but misfortune to the Chinese people. The $650-billion expense is way beyond the sum of the expenses of all the past Olympics. Contrarily, Chinese per capita annual income is only a little more than $1K, and the national medical budget is barely upto $200 billion. Most of the farmers and poor urban residents cannot afford medical expenses. The only right for the sick people is staying at home and waiting for dying. Life counts nothing. Bringing honor to the party is more important than people’s lives. No wonder why someone exclaimed “This is insane!” However, the party is never insane but very smart: they bring in honor to themselves at the people’s cost. It is the people who are too naive! Look, they even do not notice being exploited and fooled by the party. They are still frantically shouting and waving the red flag all over the world to show their determination to protect the Beijing Olympics.

Watch out, Chinese Christians! Everything shows that the Lord is near. Do not be part of the course that sacrifice the people but benefit the party. (John 16:3; Revelation 1:9; Philippians 3:7-10) If you don’t want to be like the German Christians to become a helper for the Nazis whose wicked nature was not revealed much by the time of Berlin Olympics, then why do you want to be a tool of the party whose evil nature has already been fully displayed? Compared to the Nazi, do you think this Party is less evil? Less dictatorial? Less terror? Less killing? Less robbing? Or maybe it is true that this party has already become your party? At the party’s 80-year birthday banquet, Pastor Dingguang Xun, the notorious No. 1 figure of the three-self church shamelessly declared “We patriotic religious leaders and the believers of the nation would like sincerely say from the bottom of our hearts that the communist party has already become ‘our party’ from what-so-called ‘your respected party’ in the past.” I wish he was raping the believers’ opinion, and this statement represents only his personal opinion, who took the evil one as his father from the beginning.

Be on the alert, Chinese Christians! Do not dream to eat at both the Lord’s table and the demon’s table. I am deeply concerned that you would enjoy at the demon’s luxurious table (the party eat up $100 billion every year - what orgies!) too much that you may miss the Lord’s eternal table. By the time you get there, the door is already closed, and the only thing you can do is just “weeping and gnashing of teeth in the darkness”!

Watch out, dear brothers and sisters! Stand up and block the gap! If you don’t want to see any brother or sister end up at “standing outside the closed door weeping and gnashing of teeth in the darkness”, please spread out this little voice.
