55-Yead Old Female Evangelist Beaten Up

In the morning on February 3^rd, 2003, the 55-year old evangelist Jiumei Yan, from Caifeng Town, Yongxin County, was arrested while preaching the gospel at Xiaoling Wen’s home in Qianjia Village, Gaoshi Town, Yongxin County.

She was taken to Lianzhou Town Police Precinct by the associate chief Junhua Long and Yonggan Wen. Then the police started to interrogate her. To make her confess, the police brutally tortured her. Yonggan Wen kicked her down on the ground and then viciously kicked her waist. The associate chief repeatedly shocked her with an electric baton. She could not bear the torture and she… the police had to stop torturing her. Around noon time, the police drove her to a wild place and dropped her at the road and left immediately.
