Fanchang County Anhui Province: One Christian Jailed and Two Detained

From April 14^th to 23^rd, 2003, there were three Christians arrested in Fanchang County, Anhui Province. One of them was imprisoned and the other two detained.

In the morning on April 14^th, Christian Keming Tang, male, from Lunan Town, Fanchang County, was sharing the gospel in Xuxiaomei’s Tailor Shop in Eqiao Town. Two policemen received a report and then arrived. The police arrested him and later sent to Xuancheng City Nanhu Labor Camp to serve the sentence (the length of imprisonment is not known.)

In the afternoon on 22^nd, three policemen from Baoding Town Police Station broke into Youneng Xia’s home in Tuanzhou Village, and arrested Christian Zhangmei Shang, female, from Gaoan Town. She was put into the county detention center.

In the afternoon on 23^rd, Christian Yongfeng Chen, female, from Xiaozhou Town, was arrested while sharing the gospel in Shuhua Xu’s homein Pingpu Village, Pingpu Town. Two policemen from the town police station came and arrested her. She was also put into the county detention center.
