Anhui Province: Two Evangelists Detained

Female Christians Yufeng Wu, 42, from Gaoyue Town, and Mei Zhang, 32 from Kuangshanji Town, Huaibei City, Anhui Province, were arrested in the afternoon on April 19^th, 2003, while preaching the gospel at Yaodong Li’s home in Xuzhuang Village, Duji Distirct, Huaibei City. They were taken to Duji District Police Department.

On 21^st, the police went to their homes and ransacked the two houses. The police took away their spiritual books, hymn CDs, CD players and other things. Sisters Wu and Zhang were detained in Huaibei 1^st and 2^nd Detention Centers, respectively.
