The Police Intimidated the Family to Buy Them out

On May 12^th, 2003, three Christians were arrested by Shenji Town Police Station in Wuhe County, Anhui Province. They were detained for 40 hours and fined 300 ~ 1500 RMB.

In that afternoon, Christian Conghua Mo was meeting together with Qun Liu from Lianggang Town, Fengyang County and Jinzhi Zhao from Xiaobangbu Town, Bangbu City at his small room. The town police station Chief Youlin Mo led several men broke in. Without any explanation, the police took the three Christians to the station.

Then the police interrogated and tortured the Christians for more than 40 hours. Seeing that they could not get any thing, the police then intimidated their families to buy them out, otherwise they would be detained. Then the three family handed in 1500, 900, and 300 RMB, respectively. In the afternoon on 14^th, they were released.
