The Police Put Heavy Shackles on Her Feet for Seventeen Days

Shuying Shi was a Christian living in Linhuan Mine, Huanbei City, Anhui Province. In the afternoon on April 15^th, 2003, she was walking back home from an assembly. Several policemen stopped her in Lvzhuang Village, Linhuan Town. Under the charge of “illegally believing”, the police arrested her and sent her to Suixi County Detention Center. The police put heavy shackles on her feet for 17 days during her detention. She was released on May 29^th.
