Several Heavy Punches Landed on Her Head and She Fainted out

On June 5^th, 2003, three female Christians were arrested in Lingbin County, Anhui Province while sharing the outreach experience. They were Yuexia Jiang from Dalu Town, Huanmei Jiang from Fenmiao Town, and Shuihua Ma from Dalu Town.

In that morning around 9:00, they were sharing the outreaching experience at the food market near Xiguan Fertilizer Plant. The County Public Security Department State Protection Team Leader Anhong Xie, and Associate Leader Xinzhong Ren led a group of police surrounded them. The police took away their spiritual books and 56 RMB (~$7) cash. After beating them up, the police took the three Christians to the State Protection Team.

The three women were then tied up and hung up to the window fence (only their toe tips could touch the ground) for about 10 hours. In order to make them confess about their preaching activities, the police tortured them while they were hung up. The team leader Anhong Xie grabbed Yuexia Jiang’s hair and then slapped on her face for a while. He picked up a wood ruler and struck her face. She screamed loudly. Then Xie ordered the police stick a dirty cloth into her mouth and use the ruler to push it in. She was choked to shake her head desperately. Xie punched her head several times to make her fainted out. But the police didn’t stop. Xie pinched her face until bleeding. Later, the associate team leader Xinzhong Ren and other five policemen took turns to torture her. They slapped her on the face, punched her head, and used shoes and steel stick to beat her. Her whole body was covered with injuries… At the same time, the other two women were similarly tortured also. Such interrogation lasted till 3:00 in the next afternoon. But they did not give in. Finally, they were sent to Lingbi County Detention Center under the charge of “violating Regulations on Social Society Registration and Administration”. Shuihua Ma was detained for 9 days while the other two 16 days.
