The Police Laughing at the Young Female Christian Crying

On September 6^th, 2001, the 26-year-old Christian Xiuxia Zhu was arrested and sentenced to three years in labor camp.

On that day, Xiuxia Zhu was at Yuge Li’s home in Xiguan Village, Chaocheng Town, Cao County, Shandong Province. The County Public Security Department Political Protection Division Head Changan Wang, Associated Head Bin Li led a group of police broke into the house. They arrested Zhu. The host and hostess happened going outside. Therefore, they were escaped from being arrested. The police ransacked the house, confiscated all spiritual books, hymn tapes, and tape recorders, and then stuck Xiuxia Zhu into the car.

At the county police department, Zhu was interrogated immediately. To force her confess, a young policeman kicked at her face to knock her down on ground. Bin Li made her kneel down, placed a stick on her legs, and stepped on the stick with another policeman to roll the stick back and forth on her legs, making her scream out of pain. The police laughed at her crying. Such interrogation and torture lasted over 24 hours. But she did not confess. In the afternoon on 8^th, the police sent to Beiguan Detention Center.

On December 27^th, even unable to obtain any evidence by torturing, the police still sentenced her to three years in labor camp under the charge of “cult organization”. She was then sent to Jinan City 1^st Woman Labor Camp.

The police went to Yuge Li’s home over 20 times to catch the couple. They turned the house upside down many times. The couple has been on running since then. They dare not go home. Their parents and children have been living in fear since then.
