News Conference Opening Comments By Shixiong Li

Dear Respectable Ladies and Gentlemen:

Today, we will disclose six and half Chinese Government confidential or top-confidential documents which were brought to our Committee by several honorable and brave Chinese at the risk of their lives. We would like to let these top-confidential and bloody official documents talk, so that we can see what today’s religious "Golden Ages" really means as declared by the Chinese Communist Party!

The reason we choose New York City but not Washington D.C. to disclose the truth about religion persecution in China is because this city of freedom was recently attacked by the terrorists. The New Yorkers were used to freedom and peace and never wanted to know the meaning of "Terrorism". After 9-11,they not only knew but also experienced what terrorism means. And now they are turning their anger into hope! This is the reason why we chose New York.

The nature of terrorism is to spiritually and physically destroy the other party by any means. If the other party withdraws in fear of terrorism, the terrorists would not take further steps, thinking they have achieved their goal. However, will our conscience let us retreat when we face the fact that the Chinese religious people are under terror attack everyday, the fact that hundreds of thousands of armless Christians are crying desperately in chains under the policeman’s fists, clubs, boosts, and abuse, and the fact that they are suffering from damaged organs, broken bones, and flesh tortures! No! Definitely not! Even though our two families have already received threatening signals with regarding the disclosure of these persecution activities.

It is such a shame that today at 21st Century, the Chinese police have invented one-to-one naked trial! In a room with a bed, a policeman after drinking and eating, wearing only an underwear, with an electric club in hand, questioned a young lady who had already been beaten and tortured for eighteen hours. It is not hard to imagine the consequence of such a trial. You may want to ask where the policemen got such absolute authority. It came from Ze-Min Jiang, the core of the communist party, from Jing-Tao Wu, the vice president, from Gan Luo, member of the central political committee, from Chun-Wang Jia, minister of the public security bureau. It came from the spirit of various confidential files in the name of crushing cults. In China, without the permission and support from the central committee of the communist party, nothing can happen which would have significant impact. This is the first time in history that a small human right organization for religious freedom to disclose the "secret criminal guidance" from the strongest autocratic country in the world. We know this is like to hit the rock with an egg. However, we also believe that your pen will let the egg

yolk to stick to the terror rock forever!

We hope that President Bush, during his visit to China, can pass to President Ze-Min Jiang this beige book and other undisclosed serious reports on religion persecution, in order to urge China to do what they say. We hope the success of the president’s visit in advance.

Today is our Chinese New Year’s Eve. This is the day for each family to get together and sit down for a meal of union. We wish healthy and happy to all the Chinese around the world. We also hope that all the Chinese, at rest during this joy and happy season, can show concern about their own folks who are suffering harsh persecutions just because of their religious faith.
